Analytics

Overview

Teamwork Analytics allow administrators to view statistics about Teams and Groups in their O365 tenant.

Note

With large environments loading analytics might take a quite long time.

Highlight figures

The top part of the Analytics view displays a quick overview of current status in the form of highlight numbers and key value comparison charts.

These highlights include:

  • Lifecycle state chart: number of active groups vs. number of archived groups
  • Number of groups created in the past month
  • Group privacy chart: number of public groups vs. number of private groups
  • Average group lifetime: calculated average of elapsed time from group creation to archival. (this only includes archived groups)
  • Approval status chart: number of approved orders vs. number of rejected orders

Hovering mouse over chart segments reveals details of that segment in a tooltip.

Groups

This section allows you to view the popularity of different types of groups on your tenant. Data is presented in the form of a chart and data table. The section is split into 4 tabs to allow examining different aspects of all the groups on the tenant:

  • Overview: a pie chart displaying the popularity of each group type (i.e. Teamwork template type) in relation to other group types
  • Privacy: a bar chart displaying how public/private groups are distributed between different group types
  • Lifecycle: a bar chart displaying the proportions of active/archived groups for each group type.
  • External users: a bar chart displaying the proportions of groups that allow/do not allow external users per each group type.

On the upper right corner (on the same row with the tabs) there are two buttons:

  • a button for viewing the chart in full-screen mode
  • a button for downloading the presented data as a .csv file.

Hovering mouse over chart elements reveals the numbers behind that part of the chart in a tooltip.

The data table basically displays the numbers that are used to build the chart. If the table contains rows that are not of interest and possibly make examining the chart harder, they can be filtered out by clicking on the row on the table.

Groups created outside of Valo Teamwork are included in the group type [not categorized].

The Group trends section displays the same data as the Groups section but focuses on the development of the status over time. Examination time period of the view can be selected through a dropdown in the upper right corner: week, month, 3 months or year. In addition to the time period selection, a full-screen toggle and .csv file download options are available, just like on the Groups section.

The section is split into 4 tabs:

  • All groups: a clustered bar chart displaying the cumulative numbers of different group types
  • New groups: a clustered bar chart displaying only new groups created in the selected time period
  • Archived groups: a clustered bar chart displaying only the groups that have been archived in the selected time period
  • Relative: an area chart with vertical scale running from 0% to 100%; this chart shows the change of the amounts of different group types over time.
