Summary

Workspace summary web part allows users to easily see all workspace related information and metadata. Workspace summary web part can be automatically provisioned to workspaces that have SharePoint site or it can be added manually after workspace is created.

Template level settings for workspace summary

Administrators are able to choose on template level whether they want automatically add Workspace Summary web part to the home page during workspace provisioning.

Enable Workspace Summary web part on template

  • Navigate to Teamwork Admin site, e.g https://{tenant}.sharepoint.com/sites/teamworkadmin
  • Open Templates tab
  • Choose the template you wish to edit and click on Edit template behind three dots
  • Expand the Features section from Edit template panel
  • Check the Add Workspace Summary web part to the home page check box
  • Click on Save to save the settings

Warning

Note that if Add Workspace Summary web part to the home page is selected, all the workspaces created with the template will have the Workspace Summary web part. If the Workspace Summary web part is added, all the default web parts are removed from the home page

Hide and show workspace summary sections

Workspace Summary web part has four different sections:

  • Workspace info & metadata
  • Links
  • Workspace members
  • Workspace lifecycle

The web part properties has options to choose what sections are shown. One can either show all the Workspace Summary sections in one web part or have several web parts that show the Workspace Summary information. In web part properties there is as well possibility to change the section titles according to wishes.
